She continues to explore how sustainable practice can influence
contemporary visual art — and believes that a brushstroke can be a form of care, activism, and storytelling all at once.
Ekaterina's paintings have been exhibited in New York, Miami, San Diego, and Paris.
She is known for turning botanical color into political and poetic gesture.
Her goal is not just to create visual beauty — but to build bridges between
people, landscapes, and meaning.
Ekaterina Stolyarova is a Russia-born eco artist based in the United States. Her artistic practice emerged as a response to environmental and emotional challenges connected with war, displacement, and modern consumption culture.

Through natural pigments, handmade materials, and deeply personal themes,
her work invites viewers into tactile, layered narratives rooted in memory, ecology, and resilience.

Urban Overgrowth: The Green Symbiosis
This work presents a compelling visual exploration of the relationship between urban structures and organic growth. Through a sophisticated use of abstraction and layered composition, the artist reimagines the built environment as a dynamic, living system in which architectural and natural elements coexist in a state of continuous transformation.

The jury particularly recognized the work for its conceptual clarity, strong visual language, and its ability to articulate themes of environmental resilience and symbiosis within a contemporary artistic framework.

Jury Statement

The selected work demonstrates a high level of artistic maturity and a nuanced understanding of sustainability as both a conceptual and material concern. The jury acknowledged the artist’s ability to translate complex ecological ideas into a visually engaging and intellectually grounded composition.

The decision reflects the award’s commitment to recognizing artistic practices that contribute meaningfully to the evolving discourse on environmental responsibility within contemporary visual culture.
